Red-necked Phalarope, Covenham Reservoir, Lincs

I have sailed the world's oceans but watching this little bird pitching and tossing on the reservoir waves did make me feel slightly green !

Finally got round to a trip to Covenham for the phalarope.  It was blowing a gale, bitterly cold and the sky was as black a buggery, still a good day and while we were in that area we thought we would call for the seals aswell. How did we ever fit work in ?!
