Viper alert !!
Stopped at a fabulous monastery to eat our lunch and see the rock nuthatch. We stayed here all afternoon but in the baking sun, there was little else. The nuthatches gave out an alarm call and then all flew onto the rock seen in the photo. It wasn't until we enlarged the photo that we saw the snake that they had all come to mob. The snake was a Levantine Viper.....highly venomous !
