Our local hobbies

One of our local pairs of hobbies have successfully reared two chicks again this year. They will soon be on their way, lets hope we can see them again next week before they go. Without doubt, one of our favourite birds.

Another day at Spurn with a fish supper !

Recon there were roughly 15 yellow-browed warblers around the Spurn area yet there were over 100 reported for Flamborough ! These two were in the Crown and Anchor car park. Never still for a single second, photography impossible.

But the highlight of the day, or perhaps the week, were these fish and chips from Patrington chip shop. They were absolutely delicious and we will certainly call there again on the way home. They do look good don't they ?!

Sea-watching at Huttoft Bank

A few hours sea-watching at Huttoft produced good numbers of scoter, shearwaters, wigeon and sandwich terns. The afternoon passed with a few laughs with a couple of friendly birders to keep us company !

Toft Newton Reservoir

 Ringed Plover

White Wagtail

About half an hours drive from home and an easy walk round that always produces something, and there is always a fisherman to talk to !
